INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS

The International Journal of Microelectronics and Computer Science (IJMCS) is published quarterly by Department of Microelectronics and Computer Science (DMCS) of Technical University of Łódź. Manuscripts considered for publication should focus on algorithms, methods, techniques and tools for the design of integrated circuits and systems, programming techniques and paradigms, internet technologies and on related areas. Submitted papers may be of a tutorial or research nature. Research papers must present original contributions and must show significant new material over descriptions or derivations available elsewhere. Tutorial papers should review the state-of-the-art in specific fields and, at the same time, provide the readers with research perspectives and future challenges in the considered topic.
The DMCS must of necessity assume that material submitted for publication is available for general dissemination. It is the responsibility of the Author, not the DMCS, to determine whether disclosure of their material requires the prior consent of other parties, and if so, to obtain it. Submission of a paper implies that it has not been published previously, that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, and that if accepted it will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English or in any other language, without the written consent of the Publisher.

B. Style for Submission of Manuscript

  1. All manuscripts must be formatted using the IEEE two-column format. Style templates can be found at: http://www.ieee.org/pubs/authors.html.
  2. The maximum number of pages allowed for submissions is:
    Regular Papers: 14 pages.
    Transactions Brief Papers: 5 pages.
Submitted papers that are not compliant with either the style format or the allowed page lengths will be returned to the Author.
  3. The manuscript should include an informative 100- to 250-word abstract, at the head of the manuscript, which will appear with the paper. Index terms and 4-to-8 keywords describing the manuscript are also required.
  4. References should appear in a separate bibliography section at the end of the paper, with items referred to by numerals in square brackets, e.g., [12]. In either case, references should be complete and in IEEE style.

Style for papers: Author, first initial(s) followed by last name, title, volume, including page numbers, month, and year.
Style for books: Author, title, location and publisher, year, chapter or page numbers (if desired).

C. Review Process

The IJMCS publishes single-blind peer-reviewed papers. The reviewer decalres no iterest conflict between the reviewer and the author, i.e. no direct personal relationships, no professional reporting relationships, no direct scientific cooperation in the past two years prior to preparing the review. The Editor will assign each submitted manuscript to at least two reviewers to decide on the acceptance of the paper and on mandatory modifications. When a manuscript is returned for revision prior to final acceptance, the revised version must be submitted as soon as possible after  the author''s receipt of the reviewer''s reports. The Author will receive the galley proofs prior to publication and is responsible  for checking them.
The adoption of the double-blind review process creates anonymity for both authors and reviewers. Therefeore, any information on the authors' names or institutions in the submitted manuscript is deleted from a manuscript. As a consequence, the review process is free of any bias for or against an author, institution, country, gender, etc.
The list of reviewers for each volume is published when the last journal number of the following volume is ready. The information about paper assignments is confidentional and will never be provided to the authors. The current available list of the reviewers of previous volumes is available here.

D. Copyright

It is the policy of the DMCS to own the copyright to the technical contributions it publishes. To comply with DMCS copyright policy, Authors are required to sign a DMCS Copyright Transfer Form before publication in either the print or electronic medium. Authors must submit a signed copy of this form with their manuscript.

E. Anti Ghostwriting and Guest Authorship Policy

The Editors of IJMCS are committed to the Anti Ghostwriting and Guest Authorship Policy. Therefore the authors submitting manuscripts are obliged to provide information on scientific contributions made by particular authors as well as on financial contributions  made by natural or legal persons to finance submitted publications.
The Editors of IJMCS will report any single case of scientific dishonesty to adequate institutions, such as employers, scientific societies, editors associations, etc.

F. Original Version of the Journal

The IJMCS is published with ISSN 2080-8755 in print version and with ISSN 2353-9607 in on-line version. The print version is the legitimate original version of this journal.
